VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
CHAIRMAN PEMRA
Applications are invited for 4 years tenure appointment of Chairman, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, The position is placed in MP-1 Grade in terms of Finance Division's O.M. No. F.3 (2) R-4/2011, dated 14-07-2017 vis-a-vis salary package. perks and privileges.

Eligibility
The prospective candidates should have the following qualifications & experience:
a. An eminent professional of known integrity and competence, having substantial experience in media, business, management, finance, economics or law in accordance with section-6 (2) of the PEMRA Ordinance, 2002 as amended by the PEMRA Amendment Act, 2007.
b. Master Degree or above in the field of Mass Communication, Business Administration, Law, Finance or Economics or an equivalent degree in a related field from an HEC recognized University in Pakistan Or abroad, at least 2nd Division. Degrees shall be verified from HEC.
c. The maximum age limit for the post is 61 years till the date of application.
d. Written evidence of at least 20 years experience in organizations of governance. management administration, financial management, media management and marketing.
e. Government Servants meeting the eligibility criteria may also apply.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will act under the PEMRA Ordinance. 2002 as amended by PEMRA Amendment Act, 2007 and PEMRA Rules, 2009.
Selection Procedure
The selection of candidate will be made as per the procedure and guidelines contained in the relevant laws/rules/orders of the Government of Pakistan, read with the relevant judgments of the superior judiciary.
